I welcome you to a new year at Paramount Cottage Home. Some of you may have already met me as the assistant principal, fourth, or even fifth-grade teacher. This year I have the honor of introducing myself as your principal. In the five years that I’ve been at PCH, it has been an honor to watch so much growth and success in the students. During that time I was awarded Teacher of the Year and, with my students, achieved recognition as top ILEARN scorers in two out of the three years I was in the classroom. I believe in the Paramount school model and have witnessed how it leads to success with the academic environment it creates.
For those of you who haven’t met me: I graduated from Kent State University in 2010 and since then have taught in Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, and Indiana. I have 11 years of experience teaching in various grade levels kindergarten through fifth grade in all content areas. I received my master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Governors University. I look forward to bringing everything I’ve learned and all the growth I’ve experienced at Paramount this upcoming year.
