Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees as an added benefit. If your company has a matching gift benefit, it could double or even triple your gift to Paramount Schools of Excellence. Contact your company’s human resources officer to determine whether or not they participate in a matching gift program.

The TURN (Transforming URban Neighborhoods) Festival

Paramount’s signature event, the TURN Festival, celebrates urban sustainability. Held on the grounds of the Paramount Farm on the Brookside campus in the fall, the Festival is a natural outgrowth of the work being done at the school in urban farming, ecology, green initiatives, and community outreach. The free, family-friendly festival attracts over 4,500 attendees who enjoy more than 50 hands-on demonstrations, exhibits, children’s activities, music, and food. 

The TURN Festival Feast is an evening of cuisine, conversation, and camaraderie while savoring the unique culinary styles of award-winning chefs held on the Friday before the public festival. Limited to 100 tickets, this earth-to-table experience features six award-winning chefs presenting one magical culinary experience. Tickets can be purchased on the event website.

Corporate Days of Service

Paramount's Farm Team will work with organizations to host a meaningful and fun Day of Service. Having a multi-disciplinary farm in practice nearly every season and a six-acre campus creates plenty of work to be done. Contact the Farm Coordinator to learn more and schedule a work day or site tour.

Individual Volunteering

Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals who want to support the school farm, TURN Festival, Paramount promotional efforts, or school events. Contact the VP of Operations, Mary Laflin for more information.

A gift of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares) is the most economical way to make a gift. With your gift of securities, the federal tax deduction is limited to 30% of the donor's adjusted gross income for the year of contribution.

Planned giving allows you to provide future support for the Paramount Schools of Excellence campuses and programs that are of most interest to you — and often make a more significant gift than you might have thought possible — by incorporating contributions to the school in your overall financial estate plan. A donor can contribute a life insurance policy that is no longer needed (whether fully paid or not) and take a deduction of the present value.
