Ceremony Will Celebrate Campus Renovations and One Year of Partnership with Paramount Schools of Excellence
Andrew J. Brown Academy (AJB) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 28, at 8:30 a.m. to celebrate the completion of major campus renovations and mark one year of successful partnership with Paramount Schools of Excellence.
The ceremony will include remarks from school leadership, students, and board members. Community members, families, and media are invited to attend. The event is both a celebration and a milestone, highlighting a refreshed learning environment and a renewed commitment to excellence in education for families on Indianapolis’s far east side.
AJB board member Moussa Ibrahim shared, “This past year has honored the deep roots of AJB while setting the stage for an even stronger future. Now as part of the Paramount network, we’re not just improving the building—we’re transforming what’s possible for our students and community.”
Last summer, AJB began its partnership with Paramount, a high-performing Indiana charter school network known for its focus on academic rigor, teacher support, and data-driven instruction. Since then, AJB has made strides in school culture, academic growth, and community engagement, efforts supported by thoughtful building updates that better reflect the needs of students. On July 1, 2025, AJB was officially added to the network of schools under Paramount Schools of Excellence, bringing the total number of schools in the Hoosier state to eight.
“What we’re celebrating is not just new paint and polished floors,” said Tommy Reddicks, CEO of Paramount Schools of Excellence. “It’s celebrating something deeper. A rich history, storied legacy, and a school environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired.”
