At Girls IN STEM Academy, rigorous academics and a STEM-centered approach work together to help girls build strong skills, confidence, and curiosity from kindergarten through eighth grade. Instruction is aligned to Indiana Academic Standards and designed to challenge students while providing the support they need to grow.
In 2025, Girls IN STEM Academy students posted 62.8% proficiency in English Language Arts and 46.5% proficiency in Math on ILEARN. These early results reflect a strong academic start for a school built to help girls thrive in both core subjects and STEM learning.
Girls IN STEM Academy combines Paramount's structured academic model with an environment intentionally designed for girls to ask questions, take intellectual risks, and see themselves as capable learners and future leaders.
Engaging Learning
Hands-On Learning That Builds Confidence
Students participate in hands-on STEM electives and experiences that connect science, technology, engineering, and math to real-world thinking. Through programs such as VEX IQ Robotics, students practice designing, building, testing, collaborating, and improving their ideas. Girls Who Code gives students opportunities to develop computer programming skills while creating projects such as animations, games, and apps alongside supportive peers and role models.
At Girls IN STEM Academy, STEM is not a once-a-week special - it is part of how students learn, explore, and solve problems.
Partnerships with organizations including Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and Every Girl Can STEM expand opportunities for girls to build confidence, explore STEM pathways, and imagine what is possible for their future.

Girls IN STEM Academy is designed to give girls more than strong academics. It gives them space to develop their voices.
In an all-girls environment, students are encouraged to speak up, ask questions, collaborate, lead, and advocate for themselves. Daily classroom experiences, STEM challenges, teamwork, and school partnerships help students strengthen perseverance, communication, problem-solving, and responsibility.
The goal is to help every student leave Girls IN STEM Academy knowing that her ideas matter, her abilities can grow, and she has the confidence to take on what comes next.
